Hair Care Tips

Washing and Conditioning

1. Detangle: Before washing, gently detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots.
2. Shampooing: Use a sulfate-free shampoo. Apply the shampoo in a downward motion from the top of the hair to the  Avoid rubbing or twisting the hair.
3. Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the shampoo is completely out of the hair. 
4. Conditioning: Apply a moisturizing conditioner, leave the conditioner in for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
5. Deep Conditioning: For optimal results, deep condition the hair once every two weeks. Apply a deep conditioning treatment and leave it in for 15-30 minutes, then rinse 

Drying

Styling

Sleeping

1. Protection: Always wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf  or use a silk/satin pillowcase to prevent friction and tangling while you sleep.
2. Braiding: If you have long extensions, consider loosely braiding the hair before bed to minimize tangling.

Swimming

1. Pre-Swim Care: Before swimming, wet the hair with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner to create a protective barrier.
2. Post-Swim Care: Rinse the hair thoroughly with clean water immediately after swimming. Follow up with a gentle shampoo and deep conditioning treatment to remove any chlorine or salt residue.

General Tips

1. Avoid Over Processing: Avoid excessive coloring or chemical treatments to maintain the integrity of the hair.
2. Regular Maintenance: Schedule regular maintenance appointments with a professional stylist to keep your weaves, wigs, and extensions looking their best.
3. Storage: When not in use, store your wigs and extensions in a cool, dry place. Use a mannequin head or a satin bag to maintain the hair’s shape and prevent tangling.
